Introduction to 3 D Animation

This is an introductory course in 3D animation. You will play the role of an intern at a local 3D animation studio. As an intern you will develop a demo reel to be used in applying for a “job” as a 3D Animator. You will be introduced to the key elements of 3D design and to career concepts (history of 3D, demo reels, movie work vs. game work, etc).

The projects you will complete include some hands-on activities with straws, pipe cleaners, etc. and software-based projects using a free 3D animation program called 3D Blender.
