Health Science Careers

WaNIC currently offers Health Sciences Careers and Biotechnology programs in several member districts. Recognizing the immediate health care personnel shortage, WaNIC is charged with increasing options for students who desire training in the career field of Health Sciences. In partnership with business, industry and post-secondary institutions, the WaNIC Health Sciences Committee will design innovative curriculum for health care education/training that offers students certification and entry level positions enabling them to be gainfully employed while pursuing further specialization or advanced education in health careers. The Health Sciences courses will articulate with the Health Sciences programs at post-secondary institutions. An infrastructure, via an advisory committee, will be created to sustain collaboration and provide immediate input from industry and post-secondary institutions.
