WaNIC, the Washington Network for Innovative Careers, is a regional skills center cooperative of seven school districts in Northeast Puget Sound. Member districts include Bellevue, Issaquah, Lake Washington, Mercer Island, Northshore, Riverview and Snoqualmie Valley.
WaNIC is established to provide advanced-level Career and Technical education programs based on rigorous academic and industry standards preparing students for post-secondary education and successful entry into high-skill, high-demand careers and employment.
On the Horizon for the Consortium
• Skills Center Branch Campuses throughout the consortium – focusing on high-demand, high-wage career fields such as healthcare, engineering, transportation and information technology.
• Collaborating with business, industry, and area colleges to provide additional dual-credit opportunities and a seamless transition to post-secondary education, training and employment.
